Well, it is here. Some were asking what we were going to do when winter comes. I guess we will know soon enough. It isn’t a whole lot but, it is snow. This week is supposed to be cold as well so we are going to be working “inside” as much as possible just to stay out of the wind.

Operation “Discovery”
This week’s video is the beginning of the discovery process for the crack down the front of the Mooreland House. Of course, to get to the house we have to remove quite a bit of shrubbery. Kerry seemed to enjoy the process a little too much. =)
Happy Thanksgiving!
We wanted to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving day. We are truly blessed and get to spend the day with friends and family. We were also blessed by a wonderful present from one of Frank’s sisters. She crocheted this awesome table runner for the Mooreland House. We can’t wait till we have it in some kind of shape so we can display it there.

“About” section
Hey everyone! We have a new page on this website that gives the history of the Mooreland House and has a bunch of links to pictures that were not taken by us. If you have a couple minutes… check it out! It might answer a few questions.
Built in cabinet
One of Frank’s sisters wanted to help a little on Miss Mooreland. She and Kerry spent a little time cleaning up one of the built in cabinets in the back hallway. This is near the stairs that has the chair lift on it. There are a few things that have the same color marble tops.
Bathroom pictures
We were a little surprised by the fact that the 10,500 sq foot Mooreland House only had one full bathroom. It might need to be restored because it looks like it was remodeled at one time. We think the vanity is original though. If anyone can “date” the light fixture… let us know. As you can tell, we haven’t addressed this area yet.
Surprise!
We have another video out! Kerry finished putting together the second half of the valley rafter video. She said putting a weeks worth of cutting and hammering into an interesting video was a challenge. I think she did a wonderful job. I wouldn’t have the patience to do what she does. If this post accidently pops up early… the video is scheduled to come out at 8:30 ET Sunday morning.
Light dusting
We have some family coming to town that wants to see the Mooreland House. Kerry decided she would do a little touch up cleaning. Just a little light dusting should do the trick.
Fantastic news!
We stumbled across some photos on the internet that have a close up of the side of the tower that the stones fell from! We now have something to go by when we start to put the puzzle back together. We think we found all the stones at the base of the tower under the bushes. We are very excited! This was going to be a tremendous task and now it will be fairly easy.
Throw back Thursday
Fair warning! This is not a post about the Mooreland House. Kerry was looking through old pictures yesterday trying to get the “before” pictures of our current house and ran across these. This is the reason we had a lot of 20 ton hydraulic bottle jacks! We jacked this house up 2 1/2 feet and put a foundation under it. Like I said… not Mooreland House related but interesting. Thought we would share.
