Rotary club meeting

We were lucky enough to be invited to speak at the meeting of the Harrodsburg Rotary Club today. It was nice to share our story and what our plans are for the Mooreland House. Most of the people of Harrodsburg refer to the Mooreland House as the “Castle” so we had to explain why we use that name. We also put up some wreaths on the entry gate pillars to make the house look more festive.

When are you going to replace the Ashfeld Manor sign?

We don’t have anything to replace it with and it looks nice. Not sure when we will get around to that.

The Ashfeld Manor days were dark days for the house.

We understand. We would hate to tempt fate though by removing that sign in 2020. =)

I love the wreaths Kerry. It lets everyone know there is a ‘festive’ air around and in the mansion these days!

The wreaths looked a lot bigger until we put them on the pillars. Amazing what the scale of everything on this house is.
