Semi permanent fix!

Thanks to a tip from Dinah, someone who follows the blog, we were able to come up with a fix for the loose stones that we feared were about to fall. It took a little bit to get to the spot but we feel it is very well worth it. For those who don’t think it will hold up… we used the good duct tape. With the help of Bertha to lift Frank up to the roof and a 22 foot ladder, we were able to reach it and remedy the situation.

Happy New Year everyone! We don’t plan on putting out another blog post until next year. See you then!

Frank and Kerry, I hope the duct tape holds for as long as you need it too.

I can’t believe you used my suggestion as it was in jest…never thinking it could possibly work!

I’m feeling like a million bucks and doing a happy dance that I might have helped you. Dinah

Sorry Dinah… we were jesting back. It wouldn’t work. It was a fun post though. You can do a happy dance anyway because we are always looking for new things to post. =)

Good job! Duct tape fixes everything! Should have thought of that earlier! 🤣

I thought of suggesting ‘tie down’ straps but didn’t know if you had clearance around the perimeter of the tower nor if you could obtain them long enough. I better keep my daytime job and leave the ‘fixes’ to the pros!

Happy New Year Frank and Kerry!

They would only have to be about 80 feet long. =) Thanks for the well wishes!

Glad you enjoyed it. It took me about 45 minutes to get up there to get the picture.

Okay, that was just hilarious! Thanks for the laugh…my dad used to say if it can’t be fixed with duct tape, it can’t be fixed! Happy New Year!

Nothing like a little humor to end this “fill in the ______” year. It has been really neat to watch all of your progress on the Mooreland House. Looking forward to seeing more in the future. Happy New Year Frank and Kerry!

Anything to get a smile at the end of this year! If only the duct tape would perform as hoped. That is awesome that you would go to the trouble to have some fun with everyone. I’m so glad you haven’t lost your sense of humor during this year and the Miss Mooreland fix up process. Happy New Year to you both. Enjoy the holiday!
