Kerry wanted to share how the Mooreland House looked with a coating of snow. Even though she is pretty… we are so looking forward to warmer weather so we can get the exterior projects done.

Beautiful ! The snow is so pretty! Did you notice the birds on the chimney in the last picture? Vultures?

Thanks! The birds are part of the black vulture family that raised two young in the attic. We allowed the chicks to get old enough to survive and then we kicked them out and closed up the broken windows to keep them out. They still feel like it is their house though. =)

Thank you for sharing the pictures of Miss Mooreland in the snow. She looks so peaceful. It’s clear that you both really love this house. You are sharing all aspects of her existence with us, the beautiful and not so beautiful. No doubt, some day we will be gazing on a totally restored historical gem thanks to your efforts.

Yes. Every day we find out more about the history as well. This house really made a stir in the community when it was built.
