We finally got to the video about when we mixed up our first batch of hot mixed lime mortar. We bought the book from Nigel Copsey and watched copious hours of videos to make sure we were doing it right. We are really excited about using this on all the major portions of the Mooreland House that need attention. If you like the video, comment on YouTube and share it with someone you think might enjoy it as well.

Fixing more slate
We started working on the side edge of the flat roof. This slate also needs to be fixed before we can start on the flat roof. This is the right side when you are facing the Mooreland House. We haven’t found a place to stop pulling slate yet. We hope this doesn’t turn into another total removal.
Front roof edge is done.
We got the slate done up to the top of the roof on the front edge of the Mooreland House. We have the edge flashing down for now until we put the modified bitumen roofing on. Once we start to put the flat roof down we will make the edge flashing permanent. Of course, the tarp has to go back on for now. Never know when it might rain again.
Finishing up the roof edge
We are very close to putting the final roof on top of the Mooreland House. The pictures today are where we had to close up a small gap and got it ready for the last small row of slate. Next week is supposed to be warmer and not be too much rain so we hope to get it done.
