We are closing in on the top of the roof with this new video of slate repair. We had to rip off more than we wanted to at this time but it is all for the best. Thanks for watching!

Frank, did the original builders put the slate on before they put the crown molding and other items (box gutter, etc) on? Your comment about placing the slate under the molding prompted this question.

It was probably a little of both. We wanted to make sure we got the slate as far under the crown molding as we could because we don’t want any wind driven rain getting under it. Some places they must have just used metal flashing because we have to trim a little off the bottom of some of the metal to fit the slate underneath.
