Very Rainy Day!

Today’s video is a little depressing. It shows how much work we still have to do in order to get the water coming into the Mooreland House under control. It is simply amazing the amount of water that finds its way in. There are no places where it is pouring in, but the sheer amount trickling in is shocking. This is no surprise to us. We have learned to deal with it. Know that we are on it and are going as fast as 2 people can. =)

The naive part of me thought the house was about 99% water tight. I hate it that you still have to fight this fight but as you said, the silver lining is that the BIG areas have been tackled. The rains this year in a lot of places are just unreal.

Well technically… we probably have stopped 99% of the water that was coming in. =) That last 1% is still a lot of water though.

Bless your hearts! The sheer magnitude of just the leakage issues still to be addressed let alone everything else! I can certainly understand discouragement. But, you are lifted by what you’ve already accomplished. Only a love for that house could keep you going. So many would have been anxious to tear it down given it’s condition. You are a rare couple who has a lot of faith which is needed to continue this battle of sorts. How many times have the two of you said to each other, “One day at a time.”

We have no doubt that the Mooreland House would have been torn down. In fact, it is still in bad enough shape that it would be easier to tear down than rebuild. We don’t subscribe to that mindset though so we press on. By the way, sometimes it gets to the point of “Let’s just try to make it through the day…”. =)
