When we had the Mooreland House totally exposed, along came a big rain storm. It is amazing how much rain gets funneled from the roof, to the portico, and then onto the front window sill. We knew it might rain but we didn’t count on the huge amount of water coming out of the downspout pipe. The floor in this room was already mostly destroyed by water. We don’t think we added any destruction. Remember you can share the blog post or the video. It is exciting to be headed in the right direction for once.
Such a beautiful floor! I’m sure down the line you will make it shine again. It was interesting to see how you were erecting the concrete column behind the facade. A question keeps coming up in my mind and up till now, I haven’t asked it because you still have so much more to do with the stone restoration. I’m betting you have a to do list prioritized. What do you think you will tackle next after this task is completed?

We don’t actually have a list. We will probably try to solve the box gutter issue. There is still a tremendous amount of water getting into the house through those. Unfortunately it will be a lot of work for a temporary fix.

The music selection in today’s video was beautiful. I recall your beautiful voices from one of the early videos. I am curious if either of you play any instruments?

Thanks! Neither of us play any instruments. We do enjoy singing though.
