We got 14 more 80 pound bags of concrete into the wall of the Mooreland House. Lucky for us, the concrete mixer waited until the last bag to break. Now that the lentils are stabilized with concrete we can start the last few rows of stones.

Wow! That’s a lot of cement! You have Bertha, a weary cement mixer, metal scaffolding and power tools to help you rebuild the tower. I wonder what the original builders used to cut the stones, place them in the proper places on the tower, surround them with lots of concrete and support them with thousands of hidden bricks. It must have taken an army of well trained men to create Miss Mooreland!

We have heard it took a full year to put down the stone foundation and another 4 years to finish the Mooreland House.
