Okay, it’s not what you are thinking. Since it is going to be quite some time before we get around to rebuilding the wooden windows, we had to do something. That something turned out to be using a 2×4 frame and stapling marine vinyl to it. We even painted the frame gray so it would look good. This is merely a stop gap measure so the Mooreland House looks better than having the blue foam boards in the windows.
Now you’ll get light and heat from the sun in the house during the winter while the plastic will keep the rain and the wildlife out. Big wins on both counts! 🎉😊🏡👏🏻

Very nice observation! It will certainly keep out the big wildlife.

I love that you all take care to help her look good in even the temporary fixes. It will give a glimpse of what is to come when I drive by. It will be exciting when she gets all her real windows back in.

We know that many people locally are interested in the progress. Once the leaves start to fall we don’t want it to be an eyesore.

That finished stone work is phenomenal. The vinyl windows will be a God send through the winter months!

Thanks! We hope it keeps out most of the cold wind as well.

I agree, the stone work is awesome! What’s even better is that it is now structurally sound behind the stone facade. So impressed!!!

Thanks! We definitely had to do something. This part of the Mooreland House wasn’t going to be standing very much longer.
