We pulled off the interior concrete forms. Now there is nothing in the way of completing the brick job. Course by course we will make this wall look like it did when they built it. It’s just a little stronger though with the 10 inch concrete wall behind it.

have been following your progress for months. quite a project. am sure the house will one day look as grand as it once did.

Do you have any concerns about what all this new concrete sits on? That’s a lot of weight on whatever footers were underneath that wall.

  It is in the exact same footprint and shape as the brick and mortar that it replaced. The difference in weight is negligible.
