Forms are off now but we still need the last 2 inch concrete pour to cure a bit longer. The 2×6 boards sticking out of the wall are to attach the box gutter and crown molding to. We are excited to get to the dormer stones. The first couple are pretty heavy. Good thing Bertha has been working out.
It’s a good thing that you have Bertha to give you a helping hand. Without her you would need an army to handle the stones, cement bags and all of the lumber that you have been moving around during the summer and now the fall seasons. Your wise decisions are paying off handsomely every day!

Have you contacted the historical society about following your blog?
We are restoring the Curry house on Main Street and they follow our Facebook page. They have been great supporters of our progress. They also provided us with a binder of the history of our house.
We have discovered even more history as people that have lived here before have contacted us with stories and information.
You could post to their Facebook page letting everyone know about the blog. I think they would enjoy it.

That’s about the time the Mooreland House was sold out of the family.

We have met so many people who lived here previously it’s hard to keep them all straight.
