The right tool can make all the difference. It looks like you got the davit hoist just in time, especially considering all the stonework that awaits you when you tackle the tower.
Considering where you were in the repair process a year ago, you have made tremendous progress.
Congratulations on all of your successes as you continue to mend Miss Mooreland bit by bit!

We are very pleased with how the stone wall has turned out. We really didn’t know if we could put it all back together when we started the project. The davit hoist was really a necessity. It is only useful for the gigantic stones though. These things weighed more than 400 pounds.

Amazing and fantastic results. How is the rebuilt wall lining up with the existing building in elevation? Seems like being off slightly at each level could accumulate into being too high or low at the top?

We made a story tape before we took the wall down. As we went back up we checked it to make sure that didn’t happen. We are glad we did it.
