Brick Arch

We made our first brick arch. All the brick work on the back of the facade has to be self supporting. We took the arch down as we were dismantling the wall. Kerry was busy cleaning the old mortar off so we could reuse the bricks. It won’t win any beauty contest but it will hold up the rest of the wall.

From your photo, it looks great! It should do its job and add another skill to your brick laying expertise.

It gives your castle a true medieval look. It’s actually pretty awesome, I suspect that there are very few professional contractors who could do this work. It’s beautiful.

There are contractors that could do it however, they would probably be unwilling. It is very time consuming to do it the “old fashioned” way.
