We have been struggling to get anything done on the Mooreland House. Frank had to do an extended trip for work and Kerry caught the covids for her second time. We have said many times that we do this for fun and right now the Mooreland House is very cold. Since we decided not to work today, we went shopping. We found a small dresser that has the pin and cope drawers and a marble top of the Mooreland House era. The hardware will need repaced. We also got a coal grate and a brass screen for a fireplace. The picture is for the music room. This made us long for the day when we get to do the pretty stuff.

Spring will come soon enough so enjoy warm places like antique shops until the “big thaw” arrives.

We just need about 3 days above freezing at night to get the dormer facade done. We will probably fire up the kerosene heaters and work inside until then.

I love to see the things you’ve picked out for Miss Mooreland. They’re beautiful!!! I was wondering if you guys have started planning for your next big project this year? Will you guys be working on the tower next? Thanks for sharing with us. Hope Kerry feels better.

We love them as well. We don’t know what the next big project will be. It might be just the next thing that falls down. =) The tower doesn’t seem to be in any danger of falling. The damage has already been done. We really need to get some structural stuff done so we can get the slate back on the rear of the Mooreland House.

Oh my, I love the things you bought at the antique store! How fun! We used to go antique shopping every other weekend when our kids were little. We taught them how to behave in the stores. They could look all they wanted, but not touch. Hold our hands and enjoy all the neat old things we could find. We told them if they were on their best behavior, we would take them somewhere fun the next weekend. They loved it. We went to parks, or ponds, or playgrounds in the area. It made for a lot of fun memories! We lived in Maryland at the time, so there were a lot of cool places to explore for antiques and for parks and playgrounds for the kids. I miss those days! Any way… I sure went on a tangent. Kerry, I hope you’re feeling better soon. Covid is no fun, that’s for sure! Praying for warmer days soon! Spring is just around the corner. I can’t wait!

p.s. The pictures of the girls at the piano is beautiful. It will look so nice when it’s hung up in it’s newly renovated room!

Thanks for sharing! We could tell something was promised to one of the kids being pushed around in the shopping cart today. He kept asking “am I being good”. It made us laugh.

Kerry I hope you’re feeling better. I really like the items you bought for Miss Mooreland. We got a huge dump of snow in Toronto so I feel you’re pain about too cold for working in an unheated house. Looking forward to tomorrow’s video. Take care.
