We were able to fix two of the places that we lost a few slates. Frank was really out of practice and it took a little bit to get back into the groove. Don’t worry. We didn’t get any pictures of it but Frank always wears a safety harness working on this part of the roof.

It looks like an exciting position to be in up on that roof! I don’t know much about construction (your YouTube videos taught me what I know) but would it be possible to dismantle the two dormers at the same time (so that they don’t fall and tear down the whole roof), and keep them tarped while you rebuild them? It would be a giant hole. Sorry if that’s a dumb question. I really appreciate what you two are doing.

No, that is a wonderful question. That is probably what we will wind up doing as soon as we get the equipment that is supposed to be here near the end of April. We took down the other dormer and it was down for a year before we got the rest of the wall built up to support it again.
