We had to clean up the attic so we could find out where we were. There is a bigger pile of debris on the ground now but that will be easier to get to. We moved so much stuff out we can hear it echo now.

I’m a little surprised no one finished at least part of that huge attic.

It has finished floors and the doors and windows have trim. When it was new it would have had white walls because all the brick would have been plastered over.

The size of the attic still astounds me.

Is that A stairway under the arch leading up into a tower? I think the attic is my favorite part of the house. It’s absolutely huge!!

Yes, we love the attic. Those are indeed the steps up to the 4th floor in the tower.

Wow looks great! I am sure the floors below appreciate the load off as well. you are making great progress. I remember when you started it was raining harder in there than outside.

We remember that well. Most of the debris was broken and crumbling slate. It’s great to be able to walk up there again.

I agree with everyone else…. I love the attic!!! From these pictures I can visualize how it might have looked when she was new. Shiny floors and white plaster walls. And the huge expanse of just space. Miss Mooreland has so much character ❤️❤️❤️

Agreed! Now instead of shiny floors she has missing floors though. Nothing a few sheets of plywood can’t fix for now though. =)
