Fourth Floor

Someone noticed the stairs in one of the pictures yesterday. The stairs go up to the top floor of the Mooreland House tower. We guess it’s considered the fourth floor. Here are some pictures. It still gets a little wet when it rains since we haven’t repaired the tower roof yet.

What would you use this room for?

Pretty sure it was just a novelty. There are windows on three sides and you can see quite a ways. It probably helped to cool the Mooreland House in the evenings.

Probably just to survey all the land around you.

Kerry is going to have to grow her hair a little longer if it is going to reach the ground from the top.

I’m imagining the Moore children, grandchildren and great grandchildren playing in the attic and tower. I bet that was an amazing place to play hide and seek. I used to imagine myself reading a book and looking out the windows way up there when I was a little girl. I’ve loved Miss Mooreland my whole life ❤️❤️❤️

We have only known about the Mooreland House for two years now. We know her inside and out now though. She holds very little secrets back from us. She has a ways to go before it is safe to play hide and seek. =)

Looks like a great place to have a small table for coffee stuff and a chair to watch the sun rise/set.

Yes, too bad there aren’t any east facing windows. Will have to stick with the sunset instead.
