Debris Field

Today’s video involves the clean up of the basement of the Mooreland House. We needed to clear all the debris from the floor so we knew what we were dealing with. It’s always fun working with rotten wood and plaster debris. Kerry set the camera up for some time lapse segments. They are interesting to watch. Enjoy your Sunday!

Thanks! Many people are scared of the basement. Nice to see someone that appreciates it. =)

Is the house wired with knob and tube or has there been any updating at one point?

There has been a hodgepodge of wiring done on this poor house. We will have to pull it all out and start fresh. We like the antique look of knob and tube wiring but it is in such poor shape that it isn’t even usable for appearance sake.

She has style even in the basement! Love the arches.

Oof! Miss Mooreland, the gift that keeps giving! The basement actually has it’s own creepy beauty. Maybe a future wine cellar? Bowling alley? Underground movie theatre? Mushroom farm? It must feel satisfying to get that rotten stuff out of your house!

Wow, you sure have a lot of grandiose ideas! We think the mushroom farm is probably the most likely. =)
