We take down some of the big stones that are at an angle in this video. The original crafters made slots in the top of the stones to accept the wedges that they would have used to lift the stones. It was easy to figure out where the weight was centered since they did it for us 130 years ago. We are amazed every day at the engineering that must have gone into the whole process of building the Mooreland House.
Even though we live in a “microwave culture”, expecting everything to be done instantly, you show us how important it is to study the subject, apply the right tools and proceed with care and caution.
I appreciate your reminders as you tackle each new challenge.
Rather than rush into something, it would be better for me to slow down, weigh my options and make the best choice.
Thanks for pointing all of us in the right direction!

When you were in the man basket, being lifted down, I kept expecting to see a ghostly face peering out the window as you went by! 👻

Interesting thought. We have been in there quite a bit and have cameras everywhere. No sign of ghosts yet. =)
