We continue to take down the front dormer in this video. As we were taking it down, Kerry was trying to pull a brick off and we could see the wall swaying. We decided we needed to make sure the wall was secure before we lost the whole thing. Strapping up the wall will be in next week’s video.
I’ve said it before but I think it’s important to say, houses like this will never be built again, the skill to make them is too rare and too expensive, it’s a lost art. Modern building is about convenience and practicality. Thank you for taking your time, and your money, to save this heritage home and for sharing the journey. You two are now a part of the house’s history just as much as Col. Moore and Minnie.
