We find another post that wasn’t properly supported in this week’s video. We put in a few more joists and remove quite a bit of the old flooring in the attic. We will be able to reuse the flooring.

I’ve got some old growth heart pine flooring I rescued from the collapsing garage of an old house I once rented. Its stunning wood still waiting for my woodworking skills to catch up so I can make something out of it.
You guys are so fortunate to be able to do what you’re doing. Your “can do” attitudes are an inspiration. I can’t wait until you all are working on interior details utilizing that stash of reclaimed wood.

We have been experimenting a little along the way. Our first project with our heart pine will be remaking some of the windows that were totally rotted away. It sounds like you really love the old ways as well. =)

I really do like the old ways and I pretty much minored in Architectural History at the Univ. of Louisville.
I really like what you’re doing and how you are doing it.
