Fair warning! This is not a post about the Mooreland House. Kerry was looking through old pictures yesterday trying to get the “before” pictures of our current house and ran across these. This is the reason we had a lot of 20 ton hydraulic bottle jacks! We jacked this house up 2 1/2 feet and put a foundation under it. Like I said… not Mooreland House related but interesting. Thought we would share.

We certainly gained a lot of experience. We didn’t know it was preparing us for our most important restoration ever!

I don’t know which is worse…doing all this work under the house OR all the work on top of Mooreland!

Yes, there were many times it seemed pretty sketchy when using the jacks in the middle of the house. Frank likes the roof better. =)
